Day 11

Well we left on tuesday headed to Trenton, Ne. 1058 miles total. It took 2 days to get there but the mustang is handling it well. He has to load in a trailer at least once a day so that helps tremendously. yesterday was his first saddling and he handled it nicely. he did blow up a little bit but settled right back into the program. We loade this morning and are headed about 800 more miles into montana. I would love to get a big map and keep track of all his travels. I hope to be riding him soon as we could use an extra horse in our flag presentations. I'm perplexed right now however because i still have not found a fitting name for him. It reminds me of how the bible declares that one day that God will call us by our one TRUE name. Wonder what that is. I would love to get some feed back from you all. Feel free to comment. I'm including a photo of his first saddling. Enjoy and I'll catch yall on down the road. Mark 10:31

He's here!

Well hello to all mustang makeover enthusiast. I'm very excited about this years event. I can't wait to see what God has in store this year. We picked our horses up last friday and I arrived home about 1am. Today is Thursday the 19th and this will conclude about 5 days of working with him. I gave up a day or two to travel to see a friend rodeo. But it was very much worth it. I've got so much to say i don't know where to start, so for now I will make random comments in hopes that you can follow. This years horse is much bigger than my last years mount. He is probably close to 15 hands and will weigh close to 1200 pounds. Well when I picked him up he probably weighed that much. I've pulled some weight off of him already but he sure needed it. Poor guy had to be getting chaffed with those fat butt cheeks rubbin together haha. I am very pleased though with this mustang. God has blessed once again. I have not been able to name him yet however. This year will be v!
ery interesting because of my new adventure that i surrendered too back in Januaury. I have agreed to travel with a family that has www.wildhorseministries.com.

We travel the country and relate how man cares for a horse much the same way that God relates to us. We have a very busy schedule which means we will be on the road almost the entire time. That will make the 100 hundred days go by very very fast. But at least the horse will get to see lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of different enviornments. As of right now he is fairly halter broke and will load in the trailer. Two musts that he will need to be out on the road haha. He is very trainable and we have therefore made head way quickly. Later today I believe I will pony him thru the woods again and just get him more relaxed with having someone up above him. I can't wait to ride him, I have actually had the saddle on him once. But unfortunately the saddle I grabbed had a riggin to small for him. I !
was able to lead him around with it on there just loose anyway. I fee
l like i am behind but mainly it's because I know we will be out on the road soon and time is a high priced commodity on the road. God help us all please. I see myself in this horse. We all fear something right??
